I want to acknowledge the Bundjalung people as the traditional custodians of the land on which I live. Bundjalung County (Bogangar) is a place long cared for by the Bundjalung people, home to the Ngandowal and Minyungbal-speaking people, and to the traditional owners, the Goodjinburra and Moorang-Moobar people.  I recognise their continuing connection to land, sea, and community and acknowledge their wisdom, culture and traditions that have been shared in this Country for thousands of years. This area is known for its rich coastal environment, which has sustained communities here for generations. I pay my deepest respects to the Bundjalung Elders, past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. May we walk together with respect and continue to learn from and care for this Country together.
